Omeka is a free, flexible, and open-source web-publishing platform for the display of library, museum, archives, and scholarly collections and exhibitions. The platform is a Digital Scholar project, originally launched at the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media (RRCHNM).
Omeka is not an ORCID-enabled system and (to our knowledge) no ORCID members are integrating with Omeka through custom integrations.
For institutions wishing to build a custom integration, preliminary groundwork has been completed by the RRCHNM and is available on Github. RRCHNM were awarded funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities in 2018 to develop both public and member ORCID API integration functionality but due to budgetary and financial needs at RRCHNM, the project was not completed; only partial ORCID public API integration functionality was built.
