OA quota per year: a limited annual publishing fund *projected* to cover all articles from members’ eligible authors:

  • 2021: ~535 articles.
  • 2022:
    • up to 660 articles in Wiley’s hybrid journals, which is equivalent to over 100% of the projected hybrid OA output in prior years.
    • A separate fund is available for articles accepted for publication in Wiley’s fully-OA journals. UPDATE 10 June 2022: as the number of articles submitted to Wiley’s fully-OA journals is higher than expected, we now project that the fund will run out in late July 2022. Once the fund is gone, articles submitted for the rest of 2022 will not be offered IReL-funded OA. Articles that have already been approved for OA funding will not be effected.
  • 2023:
    • 670 hybrid journal articles
    • A separate fund is available for articles accepted for publication in Wiley’s fully-OA journals. This is projected to cover over 100% of eligible authors’ output.
  • 2024:
    • 680 hybrid journal articles
    • A separate fund is available for articles accepted for publication in Wiley’s fully-OA journals. This is projected to cover over 100% of eligible authors’ output.
