We are pleased to announce that from January 2026, Ireland’s Technological Universities and Institutes of Technology will be joining IReL’s agreement with Emerald Group Publishing. This will give their staff and students access to Emerald’s Premier journal collection and allow them to publish an uncapped number of open access articles in the journals without publication fees.
The institutions joining the deal are:
- Atlantic Technological University
- Dundalk Institute of Technology
- Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology
- Munster Technological University
- South East Technological University
- Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest
Since becoming IReL members in 2023, these institutions have joined sixteen IReL agreements with leading publishers, giving them access key resources for research and teaching and learning across all disciplines, and supporting their commitments to making their publishing research open access.
