IReL will participate in Annual Reviews’ Subscribe to Open pilot initiative, which will flip five of its subscription titles to Open Access (OA) from January 2020.
The five journals are:
- Annual Review of Cancer Biology
- Annual Review of Environment and Resources
- Annual Review of Nuclear and Particle Science
- Annual Review of Political Science
- Annual Review of Public Health
IReL members currently subscribe to Annual Reviews’ Sciences collection of 47 journals, which includes the above five. From 2020, they will be freely available to anyone worldwide. IReL will contribute to their operating costs by maintaining “subscriptions” to them.
IReL welcomes this opportunity to make these titles OA on a cost neutral basis to people outside our member institutions, including students and staff in all Irish higher education institutions.
